Here at Northleigh House School, we strive to achieve a happy, caring, safe and nurturing environment where children can grow and develop to their full potential whilst following individual education programmes and study in beautiful surroundings, with staff who care very much about their safety, wellbeing and progress.
We take the time to get to know our children well – aided by small group sizes. We endeavour to equip children with the skills they need to be successful in the outside world, whilst making them feel valued.
Quotes from Northleigh students
“In 2019, I was at my lowest point in primary school. My parents arranged home schooling for me until they found Northleigh. My Mum fought tooth and nail to get me a place at Northleigh because the waiting list was so long. In February 2020, my Mum had a phone call to say that Northleigh had a place for me. Northleigh has really helped me. Other students have welcomed me in and have similar interests as me.”
Year 11 student
“I like that Northleigh is a small setting. It is good that there are lots of places we can go to. I love the chickens at Northleigh, I help to look after them. I only joined in February 2024, and I like the friends I have made”
Year 10 student
“I have only been at Northleigh a couple of days but I like that staff understand I need a break at times and I am taught at my own pace. The staff are very friendly and supportive”
Year 9 student
“If a child is unhappy, that child will not learn. You can build on happy, you will struggle to build on sad.”
